Supposed Remix

(London)
A motor psycho. Flying down a thousand roads hell bent on creation. The faster we go the slower time goes its all relative. Petrol man and diesel women look through catalogues of despair. Destroying destruction. Bearded monk dreaming in the snow storm of the future.
Walking the endless plank. Reality is a dinosaur. Redemption found after drawing nature square for a while. Mad as sanity. As corrupt as desire. Hollow priest collides on the fault line with the wise old owl. I tip my hat to the hard workers and count my gold. we are born we die.
Sandwich pervert. Five gigantic magpies soar. nothing artificial is intelligent. far flung, far out, let it go out of sight. (Words by Tim Hill)

Tim Hill has to be one of my favorite illustrators, I have always loved the lines that flow from his twisted pen. Check out more of his work or contact him for commissions at:

Interpretation of your Intention Remix

(Tokyo/Canada)
Eric Uhlich one my favorite illustrators in Tokyo town, has captured the intention of my original drawing। The city, buildings, concrete over time becomes interwoven with the life, nature and animals that surround it and live in it. The background building remind me a lot of Thamesmead.

Extract from Japanzine Jan 01

Ever the interactive adventurer, Martin has recently embarked on a project that might be best described as visual remixing. On the March is a new work in progress, in which the artist invites you to download one of her pictures and "remix" it as you see fit. The finished product should be mailed back to the Martin, who will choose her favorites to exhibit in a Tokyo installation sometime in the coming year." On The March gives artists, fans, anyone the chance to take one of my complete drawings and remix it in their own special way. It's a project that will grow and evolve by itself." As Martin favors the black-line-on-white-paper approach, On the March is a response to audience feedback, much of which focuses on the absence of color. So far, the artist is delighted with the reactions the experiment has provoked. New remixes are regularly featured on her website.

Absolutely fantastic....!
Artist Craig Schulz, usually works with a blend of photography and Photoshop. Craig explains his remix; Style wise I go for a twisted photo realism. Your drawing was from your japan experience, so I used photos from my own japan experience and wrapped the two together, so it made sense to be an obi. You can see more of my work here:

Anna Antoniades Remix
Anna remixed the original `On The March` drawing with a photograph of one of her dancing capes. (Original photograph by Sinisa Savic)

Anna`s work is about, body, space and form.
The form of the silhouette is sculpted by the heavy pleating and the drapes of the fabric.
The implication is to redefine the shape and perception of an individual`s physical space.

Robert in Louisiana explains; The title On the March made me think of my mates in New Orleans who are still remixing the city in the aftermath of the Katrina flood. Dance, music and costume are mainstays of that city's culture. Lately my sketches are coming from a Wacom "Bamboo" - the newest, cheapest digital pen. Not easy to use yet, but something keeps me at it.

Playing with Proportions!

New remix by Andreas Aaltonen

About the remix:
When working with designing furniture and products, its important to add something to understand the size of the object.
In this case i played with that, making Shantells drawing seem enormous compared to the little men and dog, it makes you wanna walk in to the drawing and see whats inside.

27 Eyes Remix

Cassey Bradley-Leonardis Remix

Cassy explains what her thought process was while doing her super cute and yet very deep n touching remix.

The same idea represented in two ways [1. heart form w/27eyes 2. 27eyes w/heart] but the main point is to show you love and support...used the number 27 [27 eyes] as an element because that is your number and then a heart, symbol of love...eyes, because they are our organ of vision and each person sees things in a new way bringing their vision and thoughts to things in view, internal or external.
